Machinery Electrical Equipment Update


At i9s we audit the current state of your machine's electrical equipment (control cabinet and electrical wiring) in order to determine which elements are obsolete, with low safety or operational reliability, etc. and we offer a new electrical design updated to the standards, such as: updated safety functions with the calculated safety levels, all this with or without safety PLC. In addition, the electrical equipment will conform to the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive.


The updates are based on the following standards:
  • EN 60204-1 Safety of machinery. Electrical equipment of machines. Part 1: General requirements.
  • EN ISO 13849-1 Safety of machinery. Safety-related parts of control systems. Part 1: General principles for design.
  • IEC/EN 62061 Safety of machinery: Functional safety of electrical, electronic and programmable electronic control systems.

Scope of inspection

Electrical equipment updates can comprise the following sections:
  1. Inspection of the electrical equipment and preparation of the Non-Conformity files so that they can be updated by any party.
  2. Electric engineering + pneumatic engineering + update of the Non-Conformities by i9s.


The following is delivered with each adjustment:
  • Electrical engineering in PDF format.
  • A list of possible Non-Conformities found.
